Debt Counselor – Credit Cards/Personal Loans
Part Time Contractor 10AM To 3PM OTE $45K per annum.

A part time opportunity working Monday-Friday 10AM – 3PM has arisen within our Sydney CBD head office for an experienced debt counselor to join our dynamic team within our debt restructure group to help consumers and small business owners manage challenges they have in meeting their financial commitments.

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual with exceptional customer service to maintain a portfolio of debt restructure accounts and ensure commercially agreeable debt settlement terms are reached in the shortest possible time between all stake holders.

This position involves debt negotiations for unsecured debts (credit cards, personal loans) held by consumers and small business owners with banks, finance companies and payday lenders.

The position requires a solid understanding of ACCC debt collections guide lines, National Consumer Credit Code and Credit Reporting Code.

Work from home with only occasional meetings required in the Sydney CBD office Work

Work hours 10AM – 3PM Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturday’s

Ensure prompt, open communication is maintained with credit providers, consumers, regulators, legal teams and other third parties.

Maintain a portfolio of debt restructuring accounts whereby you negotiate debt settlements that are commercially agreeable to all stake holders and display an ability to ensure that each account under management can be monitored through various cycles of debt negotiation to settlement.

Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in debt collection, credit repair, credit management or debt counseling

Comfortable working from home for a majority of the week and familiar with remote time and attendance tools, call recordings, CRM client management tools

Must have reliable, fast internet connection, current WINDOWS  laptop or desktop, home workspace, ZOOM

Must have a business name ABN or Pty Ltd company to receive commissions and bonuses

Strong knowledge of the credit collections process and relevant legislation (particularly CR Code 2014 and NCCC)

Knowledge of ASIC collections procedure, together with borrower harassment and hardship guidelines responsible lending criteria would be an advantage

Strong organisational and time management skills

Willingness to complete industry training to remain current and compliant
